Richard A. Klasinski, 78, Kansas City, Kansas, died Friday, May 28, 2010, following illness and hospice care in the family home.
Richard joined the Army in 1951. He was accepted in the paratroopers and was honorably discharged Staff Sergeant from the 82nd Airborne Division in 1954. Richard attended Wyandotte High School, Donnelly College, and graduated from Rockhurst University. He retired from IBM as a Senior Systems Analyst, IMS Data Base Specialist following 30 years service.
Richard is survived by his wife, Pat Klasinski; daughters Danette, (Mark) Mosher, Kathy (Steve) Lufcy, Carrie (Sean) Trompeter, David (Klasinski) Kelly, Anna (John) Powell, Jamie Klasinski; grandchildren: Andrea Jamerson, Ryan, and Michael Rice, Cory Trompeter, Reagan Christie; and newborn great-grandson, Koen Rice.

Visitation and Memorial Services
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010 with Memorial services following at 11 a.m., at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
