Rita Marie Green

Rita Marie Green, 92, Lenexa, KS passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at Lakeview Village Care Center, Lenexa, KS.

Rita was born August 28, 1925 in Little Rock, AR to John and Theresa Hum, the second eldest of eleven children. She was an office manager for the James E. Green Insurance Agency until her retirement in 1989.

Rita was an active member of the Lakeview Village Community as a volunteer and later resident. She was loved and will be missed for her grace and humor. She had a joke for everyone every day.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Green on Dec. 28, 1989. She is survived by her three sons, James Dan (Elise) Green, Pawleys Island, SC, Ken (Beth) Green, Houston, TX and Sam (Melinda) Green, Dolores, CO; three sisters, Bernie Renton, Clara Goss and Theresa Kleinpeter; two brothers, Johnny Hum and Pat Hum; six grandchildren, Christian Green, Aaron Green, Christopher Green, Keegan Green, Kelsey Chambers, and Zach Green; and two great grandchildren, Beatrix Green and Marshall Chambers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church; burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
