Robert “Bob” Frazier Wilson

February 18, 1921 — November 2, 2014

Robert Frazier Wilson, 93, passed away at home in Overland Park, KS, on Nov. 2, 2014. His loving bride of 70 years, Zelma, was by his side. Bob was born Feb. 18, 1921, in Quenemo, KS. After serving his country as a Navy pilot in WWII and briefly owning a Colorado sporting goods store, he and Zelma moved to Overland Park and Bob went to work for BC Christopher. His hard work and astute grain and stock trading rewarded him and he became a partner in the company. After retiring in 1975, Bob and Zelma spent their summers at a cabin they had purchased in Ely, MN, an area they had grown to love during previous vacations.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, doing puzzles, reading westerns, and especially trading stocks. He and Zelma, who celebrated a milestone 70th wedding anniversary in June, were long-time active members of the Village Presbyterian Church.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Zelma, sister Ruth Yeager of Boulder, CO, son Robert Wilson (wife Sharon) of Kansas City, MO, daughter Cindy Ross (husband Mike) of Manhattan, KS, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Bob will be buried Wed., Nov. 5th, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quenemo, KS.
