Robert E. Loomis, Jr. "Bob", 63 of Paola, Kansas passed away Friday, January 24, 2014.

Bob was born to Robert Loomis, Sr. and Willa Gochnauer Loomis on August 25, 1950 in Kansas City, Kansas. He is survived by his wife Rosemarie "Roe" Loomis of the home, Cris Loomis-Nay and Tony Nay of Shawnee, Kansas; Mary and Michael Hendrix of Covington, Georgia; Kathy Moore and her late husband Shane Moore of Dacula, Georgia and Rachel Loomis of Kansas City, Missouri. He had seven grandchildren: Keerstin, Jordan, Bailey, Jake, Kylie, Josh and Reagan. Siblings include Terry Loomis, Teresa Milsap and Debbie Loomis.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Loomis, Sr. and Willa Gochnauer Loomis Newhouse and his infant brother.

Bob was a decorated Vietnam veteran, and served as an Intel Specialist in the U.S. Army from 1967 until his honorable discharge in 1970.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Gravesides services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
