Robert D. Botkin

Robert “Bob” Botkin passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 12, 2023.

Bob was born to Jerry and Dorothy (Yarvorski) Botkin in Los Angeles, CA on August 12,1944. He grew up in New Point, MO.  He attended University of Missouri-Columbia where he met and married Diane Lehnen on August 6, 1966. He and Diane moved to Shawnee, KS where they welcomed four children.

Bob worked as a certified public accountant for 40 years and enjoyed traveling, fishing, wearing his bib overalls, smoking cigars and doing his puzzles.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Larry and Jim. He leaves behind his wife, children, sister Sally Schmidt, eleven grandchildren and his fishing buddies.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00.
