Robert "Bob" G. Brunner, 68, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away at home on Monday, October 18, 2010.
Bob was the founder of Brunner Electric and worked with his sons and brother until his retirement six years ago. Bob enjoyed camping, country music, and restoring cars. Bob and Paula enjoyed wintering in warmer climates in their motor home. He was so proud of his grandsons and enjoyed attending their athletic events. He was a friend of Bill W. for 40 years. He carried a great message and helped so many people. He had a fantastic sense of humor and inspired all who knew him to cherish each moment and live one day at a time.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Rosemary (McClellan) Brunner. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Paula, sons: Rob (Cindy) Brunner, Chris (Lorie) Brunner, brothers: Ed (Susan) Brunner, Larry (Bev) Brunner and Jim (Dee) Brunner, three grandsons: Dalton, Dane, Dylan, and his beloved pets Tilly and Gizmo.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
Visitation and Funeral Service
The Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee with the Visitation from 6-8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial to follow in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
