Robert Howard Diettrich, 52, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 08, 2012 at his home.

Bob was born February 26, 1960, in Burbank, California. He graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 1978. Bob, or as his friends knew him, "Silver Bullet" worked for UPS as a driver for over 31 years before retiring in May. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local Union #41. Bob was a jokester and had a great sense of humor; he had a nickname for everyone. Bob was an avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan. He enjoyed playing golf and building wooden ship models.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Ashley Thornbrugh and husband Tommy; a granddaughter, Charleigh; sister, Deborah Blank; three nieces, Andrea, Kelly, and Nicole Blank; sister, Susan Diettrich; two stepchildren, Michelle Kenyon and family; Brad Hontz and family; and Debbie Mabrey. Bob was very loved by his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial visitation will be 3:00-5:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, New York 10004.
