Robert Earl Smith

Shawnee, KS- Robert Smith, 94, died on Monday, May 2, 2022.
Born on December 4, 1932 in Keyser, W Virginia, he was the son of the late Lorain and Thelma B. (Chaney) Smith.  He is also preceded in death by his brothers James Smith, Gary Smith, Richard Smith, Ronnie Smith and a sister, Evaline Tettenburn.
Robert started a trucking business after moving to Kansas City in 1957 with his wife and newborn son.  His business existed up until he retired at 89 years-old. He was an Army Veteran and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Marian (McCormick) Smith ; his children, Gregory Smith, Lisa Vogl, Jeffrey Smith and Sandra Karley and his sister, Caroline Tettenburn of Keyser. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Amos Family Funeral Home, Shawnee. If desired, Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert Smith to Wayside Waifs Pet Service, Grandview, Missouri.
