Robert Ellis Brown

Robert E. Brown, 90, Mission, KS passed away January 9, 2022 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 pm, with a funeral following at 1:00 pm, Sun-day, Jan. 16 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, if you are streaming online for the service, please click here . Cremation to follow. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, Jan. 17 at the Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to either the Kansas City Hospice House or to your favorite charity in Robert’s name.

Robert was born in Jefferson City, MO to William E. and Merle B. Brown. He was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Robert was owner of Silver Interprises of Kansas.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Captola T. Brown on July 6, 2001, three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include his partner, Cheryl Foster; son, Lyman (Georgia) Brown, Shawnee, KS; daughter, Beckie (Chris) Hanson, Kingsville, MO; three grandchildren, Angela Brown, Eric (Becca) Brown and Karly (Kevin) Weber and four great grandchildren, Dakota, Jobi, Jade Patterson, and Elinore Brown; and three great great grandchildren, Sophiah, Isabella and Paisley Patterson.
