Robert Carl Hurt

April 19, 1936 — November 11, 2019

Robert Carl Hurt 4/19/1936-11/11/2019   Life long resident of the KC Metropolitan area. He attended Rosedale High School. After High School he volunteered for service in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1958. He was stationed at Tokyo Army Hospital in Japan for three years. He was trained as a medic at Fort Sam Houston.    He was an automobile enthusiast, spending countless hours restoring antique cars. In past years he was an avid member of antique clubs, organizing events and car meets. He was involved in sales and wholesale with several car dealerships throughout Johnson and Jackson county.    Robert (Bob) was a wonderful father to his daughters and a loving grandfather to all of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.    Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. ~John 14:27~   He is survived by 2 daughters, Shawna R. Hurt, and Robin A. Smith, 6 grandchildren, Robert A. Theis, Jacklyn L. Magness, Edye Pool, Ali Pool, Joseph M. Theis, Wolfgang Borchardt and 5 great grandchildren. Siblings; David Parks and Sandra Crowley.

Visitation will be 10-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Amos Family Funeral Home; burial with military honors will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
