Robert L. “Bob” Kniffin

Robert L. "Bob" Kniffin, 81, Lenexa, KS passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Sunrise of Lenexa.

Bob was born Nov. 9, 1935 in Los Angeles, CA to Brad and Margaret Kniffin. He was an insurance underwriter for most of his career. Later, he was employed with the IRS. Bob enjoyed collecting coins, stamps and baseball cards. When his boys were young, Bob looked forward to keeping score and stats for their baseball games. He liked playing computer games, cribbage, and was an avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, who he was happily married to for 58 years. His children, Mike (Tammy) Kniffin, Wichita, KS, Janet (Doug Lindeman) Morton, Independence, MO and Gary (Sandra) Kniffin, Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Memorial visitation will be 5-7:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm, Thursday at the Amos Family Funeral Home.
