Robert L. Marriott

Robert L. Marriott, 64, of Merriam, KS, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2016. He was born on July 18, 1951 in Lawrence, KS, to Robert H. and Olga (Balda) Marriott.

Robert graduated from Bishop Miege in 1970. He was united in marriage to his wife of 40 years, Corliss (Harley) Marriott, who preceded him in death. Together they had four children. Robert was honorably discharged as a Sargent from the United States Air Force in 1974. They also owned and operated Marriott Appliance Service for 22 years. Later, he was a Lead Technician for Best Buy home appliances. He is survived by his children, Melissa (Brenden) Strunk, Tina (Doug) Yount, Robert (Jennifer) Marriott and Angela (Greg) Nielsen; grandchildren, Cassie, Nicholas, Robby, Samantha, Hunter and AJ; two wiener dogs, Princess Bon-bon and Don Chifle. Bob will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Visitation 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at Amos Family Funeral Home with a Rosary starting at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, KS.
