Robert “Bob” Minshew

February 13, 1938 — February 15, 2017

Robert E. Minshew, known to most as Bob, left this earthly world on February 15, 2017. Bob was no stranger to the hospital over the past few years due to several health issues. Surrounded by those he loved Bob took the next step of life's journey. Holding his hand was his beloved wife Anita of 56 years, Their children and spouses, Mary & Denny Ellis, Jeff & Geralyn, Heath & Michelle and Todd and a large circle of his grand children.

Born to Roman and Alma on February 13th, 1938 in Washington DC Bob the only son of 4 children. Bob will be deeply missed by 3 of his sisters and their families. Carolyn and Chuck Barrett, Joan and Ross Crossland, Burnell Minshew & Geraldine Minshew (deceased).

Growing up and attending school in Washington DC, was followed by serving our country in the Marine Reserves and the United States Air Force. While stationed in Topeka Kansas, a young lady stole his heart and would become his wife- Anita Thompson. Together Bob and Anita created a family that would become the center of their lives. Mary, Jeff, Heath and Todd were Bob's greatest accomplishments. Denny, Geralyn and Michelle would soon join the Minshew Family as son and daughter in laws. Bob's family grew over the years and Bob would become a grandfather and great grandfather to Josh, Alex, Tanner, McKenzie, Noah, Alec, Callie, Gillian, Zoey, & Dyllon. Bob's sense of humor created a lifetime of memories for his family that will be talked about for years. Even during his last days he found the courage and strength to laugh with his family and even share one of his quirky funny faces.

Bob's career and work life was filled with a variety of jobs as he worked diligently to provide a life for his family and to have Anita stay home and create a house filled with laughter, warmth and guidance. Of the many jobs being a Barber was Bob's favorite. When away from work Bob enjoyed fishing, square dancing, camping, boating and an occasional visit to the casino.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Bob fought, loved, and enjoyed his time on earth. He will always be remembered and in our hearts.
