Robert Lee “Bob” Minter

Robert Lee "Bob" Minter, 78, Lenexa, KS (formerly of Garden City, KS) passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam, KS.

Bob was born Sept. 25, 1936 in Garden City, KS to Clyde and Cecil Minter. He was a 1954 graduate of Garden City High School and attended two years at the Garden City Junior College. Bob founded Minter-Wilson Drilling Company in 1964. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Shonda Minter, parents and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Minter; two daughters, Cari Rodriguez, Shawnee, KS and Jackie Coats, Lenexa, KS; four sons, Terry Haunschild, Canon City, CO, Mitch Long, Lyndon, KS, Wally Long, Ashland, KS, and Chris Minter, Shawnee, KS; two brothers, Ken Minter, Garden City, KS and Jack Minter, Riverton, WY; sister, Beverly Dreiling, Garden City, KS; 14 grandchildren and two great grandsons.

Graveside Services and Memorial Contributions

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 22 at the Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, KS. Memorial Contributions may be made to the www.stjude.org.
