Robert Daniel Price, 82, of Overland Park, KS went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at his son's home in Overland Park, Kansas. He was born December 3, 1937 to William Isaac Price and Blanche Juanita (Killian) Price in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He spent his early years on a farm in rural Missouri. After his grade school and high school years he joined the Air Force and it was while he was stationed in Japan that he met and fell in love with Kazue Matsumoto. Robert & Kazue were married on August 9, 1959. They lived for a brief time in Japan after their marriage and then moved to St. Louis, Missouri.
After his Air Force service, Robert was employed by the McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company and had several stations of assignment around the world, including the Far East and Australia. It was while working for this company that he finished his BS degree in Business from the University of Missouri. Kazue always traveled with him and at the time of his retirement they were again living in St. Louis. In 1996 they moved to the Kansas City area. Kazue passed away May 21, 2018. They were happily married for over 58 years.
Robert trusted Christ as his Savior as a young man and lived to enrich his marriage and please the Lord. After moving to Kansas City he was in happy fellowship at his church, the Bible Chapel of Shawnee where he served as a Deacon. Robert and Kazue were also short term missionaries in Nagano, Japan while in attendance at their church.
In addition to serving the Lord at his church and with his life, Robert enjoyed having a large vegetable garden every summer. He loved opening his home to friends and family. In addition to his love for hospitality, he also enjoyed telling his grandchildren stories of his military career and his travels around the world.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kazue, and his father in 1968 and his mother in 1995.
He is survived by two sisters, two brothers and his sons, David Mark Price of Crown Point, Indiana and Dr. Steven Daniel Price and wife Janet of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 5 in-law grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed and remain in the hearts and thoughts of his family and many friends foreverâ¦
