Robert E. Schweiger, 77, lifelong Lenexa, KS resident passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at the Sweet Life at Rosehill, Shawnee, KS. Bob was born April 1, 1936 in Lenexa, KS to Ralph T. and Elsie M. (Scherman) Schweiger. He was a 1954 graduate of RockhurstHigh School. He attended the University of Kansas. On April 23, 1960, Bob married Dorothea Bauer at Christ the King Catholic Church, Kansas City, MO. Bob was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was employed by IBM, Hallmark Cards, and JC Penny as a computer operator. After retirement, he worked part-time with KC Data Services.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea Bauer Schweiger on June 15, 2008 and his parents. Survivors include his two daughters, Catherine (William) Schneck, Woodbridge, VA and Laurie Schweiger, Lenexa, KS; and two grandchildren, William Schneck, III, Blacksburg, VA and Kathleen Schneck, Winter Garden, FL.

Visitation & Mass

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church; burial in St. Johns Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 at the church.
