Robert B. Shettleworth

Robert B. Shettleworth, 81, Shawnee, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at home.

Robert was born July 4, 1927, in Kansas City, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Naval Seabee's during World War II. After his service in the war, Robert married Claudine Julian in Bentonville, Arkansas, on October 30, 1948. Robert is a member of the Shawnee United Methodist Church, Overland Park Masonic Lodge #436 AF & AM, Scottish Rite of Kansas City, and the Abdallah Shrine and the "Q" in the Shrine. He was a Founder of "The Roadsters Unit".

Robert is survived by his loving wife Claudine Shettleworth, of the the Home; two daughters, Debbie Harrington, DeSoto, Kansas; Brenda Schurr, Edwardsville, Kansas; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Minnie Shettleworth and two sisters, Juanita Eustler, and Dorothy Sellers.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Abdallah Transportation Fund.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel. Burial will follow services at Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
