Robert Lee Smith, 67 of Shawnee, KS passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his home.

Bob was born June 19, 1947 to the late Orville James and Dorothy Mae Smith in Clinton, Missouri. After graduating from high school Bob enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. When he returned home he went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone as a Repairman for over 35 years before retiring in 2005. Bob was a dedicated family man and his life revolved around his grandchildren. He looked forward to watching the chickens and fishing with his grandchildren, and cheering them on at their many athletic events. Bob loved to get down on the floor and roll around and play with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Audrey G. Smith-Small and husband Jerald; Russell Lee Smith and wife Kari; Jamie Dawn Murray and husband Scott; two sisters June Raney and husband Jack; Sharon Falk and husband Don; brother, Dean Smith; grandchildren, Tylier Small; Colton Small; Rebecca Kipper; Rory Smith; Jensyn Murray and Sawyer Murray. He is also survived by his former wife and the mother of his children, Debbra S. Smith.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial following at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
