Roberta Ann Brown

July 20, 1941 — February 26, 2019

Roberta Ann Brown, 77, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday, February 26th, 2019 at Brookdale of Rosehill. Born to Fred and Lyle Glanville on July 20th, 1941. Raised on a farm outside Ottawa, she grew with a love for God's creation. She spent her early education in a one room schoolhouse. She graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Home Economics and a minor in accounting. To her last day she was proud to wear purple. Most of her career life was spent as accounts receivable for the kitchen at St. Mary's Hospital, then at Baptist Medical Center as accounts payable. Her two greatest loves in this life were Christ & His church and her family and friends. And it didn't take much time at all for someone to become her friend. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons John (Lisa) Brown and Rob (Leah) Brown, her siblings Wallace Glanville and Dorothy Congrove, and her five grandchildren Haley, Keenan, Agassiz, Carista, and Renfred. She was loved in life, she is missed in death, but we celebrate her homecoming to Christ Jesus.

A visitation will be Friday, March 1st from 6:00-8:00 pm at Amos Family Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Saturday,  March 2nd at 2:00 pm at Amos Family Funeral Home with a burial at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, KS.
