Roma M. Taylor

Roma M. Taylor, 96, of Overland Park, KS passed away on May 11, 2020. Roma was born January 3, 1924 in Chase, Kansas to Harrison and Ida Brunkau. She graduated high school from Elkhart, Kansas. She then attended college at Ft. Hays and Pasadena College graduating in 1949. Roma married D.T. Stayton on May 22, 1946 and they were married for almost twenty-five years. Then Roma married Kenneth Taylor on June 14, 1973 and they were married for thirty-eight years before Kenneth's passing in 2011. Roma was a first grade school teacher and loved to teach children to read.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Verla Sullivan; her stepdaughter Bonnie Weise.

Roma is survived by her children Joyce and her husband Ken Ball; Joy Tallant; Dean Stayton; stepchildren Glenn Taylor and his wife Becky; Gina and her husband Tony Tanner; grandchildren Laura; John and his wife Cheryl Ball; great grandchildren Hannah Ball; Isaac Ball and Joshua Ball; step grandson Ryan Weise; and her sister Erliene Brunkau.
