Ronald H. Pflumm, 80, of Shawnee, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Brookdale of Shawnee.

Ron was born March 8, 1937 to the late Clarence and Catherine Pflumm, in Kansas City, Kansas.  He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1955.  After high school Ron attended Kansas State University, Donnelly College and the Graduate School of Banking at University of Wisconsin.  He worked for many years in the family business before retiring as President of The Shawnee State Bank.  Ron was an avid outdoorsman and hunter.  He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Safari Club International.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents; his children, Allison Gudikunst, Nicholas Pflumm; and a brother Bud Pflumm.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mitzi Dee; and their combined family, Lauri Guidry; Garot Pflumm and wife Marisol; Sheri Gallagher; Drew Wood; Tammy Wood; Lance Wood; two sisters, Clarine Fox; Kathy Hoelting and husband David.  20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, where a rosary will be prayed at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Thursday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund or to Ducks Unlimited, 1 Waterfowl Way, Memphis, TN.
