Ronald Arvle Taylor

November 4, 1949 - October 27, 2020

Ron passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife by his side on October 27, 2020 in Shawnee, Kansas.    Ron was born in Warsaw, Missouri, to Clonnie and Alma Taylor.  He attended Wyandotte High School and graduated in 1967.  He met the love of his life, Lynette "Moore" Taylor, and they were married on July 15, 1976 in Kansas City, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lynette, his children, Tracy Brown (Mike), Eric Taylor (Debbie) and Brie Vodonick (Steven), his 9 grandchildren, Mitch, Miles, Megan, Cole, Austin, Brody, Will, Colton and Quinn, and his sister, Carol Wood (Dennis).

Ron started his own Masonry company, Ron Taylor Construction, in 1979.  You would often catch him driving around town mentioning the beautiful brick and stone buildings he had built throughout his long tenured and respected career in the field.  Some of his noteworthy buildings are Dykes Library at KU Hospital, several building at Johnson County Community College, the Rotunda at Fort Leavenworth Prison, and many schools over the entire Kansas City area (even the school some of his grandchildren attend!!)  He was very passionate about working outside and creating relationships with everyone he worked with.

For those that offered help to Ron and Lynette with his healthcare needs, and those offering thoughts and prayers, the family would like to thank you.
