Rose Marie Sharpfish Burns, 87, of Roeland Park, KS, passed away on May 5th, 2019. She was born on August 29th, 1931 in St. Francis, SD to Leo and Elizabeth Sharpfish. Rose Marie had a passion for art, painted numerous pictures, made children's books and personalized artwork for her grandchildren. Her grandchildren treasured personalized hand drawn birthday and holiday cards. She was a seamstress and a quilter and made many quilts for her grandchildren. Her family members always looked forward to her famous apple pies. Rose Marie was devoted to her daily Rosary and watched the daily Mass on EWTN every day. She would often be found praying the Rosary every night for her entire family. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Gene Burns; daughter, Sharon Burns; and grandson, Henry Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Rosie (Michael) Rachiele; daughter, Carol Burns; son, Calvin Burns; daughter, Cheryl (Keith) Williams; grandson, Jamie (Megan) Harrigan; grandson, Ryan Harrigan; granddaughter, Abbey (Aron) North; granddaughter, Kerrie (Greg) Otten; grandson, Max Williams; grandson, Charlie Williams; granddaughter, Isabella Williams; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203 on Tuesday, May 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 5:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Rd, Roeland Park, KS 66205 on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
