Rosemary Katherine (Mccann) Serum

Rosemary K. Serum, 82, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023 in Olathe, KS surrounded by family and with her beloved dog Sophie by her side.

Rosie was born Rosemary McCann on September 12, 1940 to Bruce and Florence McCann in Waterloo, Iowa.  She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waterloo.  Rosie married Gerald Serum (Jerry) in Waterloo in 1958 and they were married for 55 years until his passing in 2013.  Rosie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many.  She truly cared about those around her and her thoughtfulness and generosity provided support and help to countless families and charities.

Rosie will be lovingly remembered by her children: Michael Serum (Laura), Jeffrey Serum, Deborah Kelly, and Steven Serum (Tina); grandchildren: Jennifer Ford (Ryan), Matthew Kelly, Ali Busch (Jordan), Logan Serum, Brendan Serum, Nick Serum, Sarah Kelly, Justin Serum, Michael Kelly, Kaelyn Serum, Mason Serum, and Brady Serum; and great-granddaughters Andi Busch, Stevie Busch, and Kaiya Tousant, along with her wonderful friends, and neighbors, and coworkers at Answer Kansas City.

Rosie was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry, daughter Cindy Serum (Ruth), parents Bruce and Florence McCann, and her sister Joanne Walther.
