Roy D. Housh, Jr.

Roy D. Housh Jr., 90, of Merriam Kansas, passed away March 1, 2010.

Roy was born July 27, 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Roy D. Housh Sr. and Grace (Rogers) Housh. Roy served in the US Army during WWII stationed in the South Pacific. During his service he was decorated and was honorably discharged as a Warrant Officer.

He was united in marriage to Delores B. Hogan, who preceded him in death in 1974. Roy was later married to Mary E. Starns-Cushing-Housh in 1976. Roy owned and operated Housh Insurance Agency until his retirement in 1985.

Roy is survived by his wife Mary, and by his five children: Dave Housh (Doris), Stephen Housh (Cathy), Anne Housh Becker (Bob), Gregg Housh, and Clark Housh. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Service

A visitation will be held Friday, March 5, 2010, from 10 to 11 am at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A funeral service will follow at 11 am and burial in Pleasant View Cemetery, Shawnee, Kansas.
