Ruby M. Smith

Ruby M. Smith, age 91, passed away May 17, 2013, at Wilshire at Lakewood nursing home in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Ruby was born November 26, 1921, in Everett, Missouri, to Mr. and Mrs. Wilcox. Ruby was married to Gard Smith for 66 years. Ruby was a teacher for 43 years and a member of First Baptist Church of Shawnee.

Ruby is survived by her sons, Mai The Ho (Joanie), and James Dayton Smith (Lynda); five grandsons, and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Tuesday May 21, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Shawnee with a funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, Kansas.
