Ruth Bruns

Ruth Bruns, 89, of Lenexa, Kansas, went home to be with her Lord on May 25, 2010.

Ruth was born in Smithton, Illinois, to Clem and Amelia Quirin. She was married to Irvin Bruns and was devoted to him and their three daughters. She was a long time member of Hope Lutheran Church and was a wonderful Christian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irv and daughters, Judith Ann and Sandi. She is survived by her daughter JoAnn and husband Ross; her daughter, Linda; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren, which she loved and adored.

Mom, we have so many wonderful memories that we will hold so closely. We thank the Lord for you. You were our everything! We know that now is the time for you to be with your lord. You will be dearly missed, but we will see you again at Heaven's Gate. Love, Your family.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Friday, May 28, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Hope Lutheran Church, 6308 Quivira Road, Shawnee, Kansas, followed by burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas.
