Ruth Ann (Josias) Burch

Kansas resident, Ruth Burch, 77, died Nov. 17, 2022, at her home in Kansas City, KS.

Ruth was born August. 27, 1945, in Wichita, KS to Ed and Hazel Josias. She attended Wichita Southeast High School before spending a year at Kansas State. She married in 1965 and had two daughters. When the girls were older, she entered the workforce, first working with Archer Engineering, then Carstar. She retired from Carstar, but maintained active friendships with coworkers from both companies.

Ruth was passionate about music and adored Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, classic rock-n-roll, and country; dancing whenever and wherever she could! She was an avid Kansas City Royals fan and loved the Kansas City Chiefs.

She is predeceased by both parents. She is survived by her sister, Debbie Schroeder (Josias) and her husband, Mark Schroeder; her daughter Peggy Turrel (Brown) and her husband, Brian Turrel; her daughter Nancy DelaBarre (Brown); and her five grandchildren, Jared, Hannah, Diane, Margaret, and Peter.

A visitation will be held at the Amos Family Funeral Home from 1 to 2 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm. She will be laid to rest at Shawnee Cemetery, next to her husband Charles, following the service.
