Ruth Marie Hargrave

Ruth Marie Hargrave, 81, of Lenexa, Kansas and former resident of Moulton, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020.  She was born on July 4, 1939 to Roy Marvin and Equilla Morrison Marvin.

Ruth graduated from Mouton High School in 1957.  She married John "Bud" Hargrave on March 3, 1961 in Mouton, Iowa.  The couple lived in the Mouton area until moving to Kansas in 2018.

After high school, Ruth worked for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Des Moines, Iowa and, most recently, worked for many years as a social worker with the Iowa Department of Human Services in Centerville, Iowa.

Ruth is survived by her husband, John "Bud" Hargrave of Lenexa, Kansas; son, Mark (Teresa) Hargrave of Lenexa, Kansas; two grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Lange of Shawnee, Kansas and Dylan Hargrave of Merriam, Kansas; and one great-grandchild, Parker Lange of Shawnee, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Charles Duley; and half brother, Edward Duley.

Memorial services and burial will be held later this year in Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Kidney Foundation.
