Ruth E. Kovar

Ruth Kovar, 94, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Morse House.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Morse Church, 15431 Quivira Rd, Overland Park, KS 66221. Ruth will be laid to rest in Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park.

Ruth was born January 14, 1927, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Carl and Anna Erickson.
She graduated from Shawnee Mission Rural High School.
She went on to marry Gilbert Kovar at the Merriam Christian Church in November 29, 1947.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, son John Kovar and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Kovar.
She is survived by her daughter Dorothy Kovar of Overland Park, Kansas; two sons Bob Kovar of Gardner, Kansas and Jim Kovar of Lenexa, Kansas; 16 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to City Union Mission, 1100 E. 11th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106.
