Ruth Ann Lorenz

On 21 Apr 2021, Ruth Ann Lorenz, passed away. Ruth was born 23 Feb 1936 in St. Joseph Missouri to John and Opal White. Her brother Bob and sister Carol passed before her. Ruth attended Central High School in St. Joseph, Missouri and excelled in Art. After high school, she was hired by Hallmark in Kansas City at age 17 and received countless awards. On 10 Sep 1955, she married James B Lorenz, also from St Joseph, Missouri. Jim passed in July 2015. Ruth is survived by her three children, Susan, Mark and David, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Her favorite vacation location was Colorado and one of her most memorable experience was standing on top of Angels Landing, Zion National Park. Ruth is most known for her beautiful art spending her last years creating countless pencil drawings for her friends and family to enjoy. Ruth's funeral service will be held at Amos Funeral Home on Saturday, 24 Apr, 9am visitation, 10am service, at 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery at 83rd and Quivira Rd, Lenexa, Kansas. Ruth will be laid to rest in the Prince of Peace Mausoleum next to her husband Jim.
