Ruth M. Shaffer

Ruth M. Shaffer, 92, of Kansas City, KS, passed away, Sunday, December 25, 2016.

Ruth was born in Columbia, MO and spent most of her life in the Liberty and Kansas City area. She married Charles E. Shaffer on March 23, 1946. She and Charles became involved in many church and Union Pacific Railroad activities. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2000.

She is survived by a son, Ron (Jeannine), of Prairie Village, KS; a daughter, Cindy (Steve) Pickering, of Riverton, KS; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren and many friends. Condolences may be expressed at www.AmosFamily.com.

A celebration of life will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., Sunday, January 8, at the Welborn Community United Church of Christ, 5217 Leavenworth Rd., KCK, where she was a member since 1946.
