Ruthann Stauffer

Ruthann Stauffer, 69, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away July 25, 2013, at home.

She was born August 21, 1943, in Newton, Kansas, to Gilbert and Ruth Sauerwein Guthrie. She graduated from Walton High School and Kansas State University. Ruthann was united in marriage with Ray Stauffer June 3, 1967 at Walton Methodist Church. She was a former teacher and library assistant.

Ruthann was a member of the Shawnee United Methodist Church, the Chancel Choir, Stephen Ministry, and served on various committees of the church. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter HJ, and the K-State Alumni Association.

She is survived by her husband Ray Stauffer; daughter Jennifer Cogdill (Chad) of Berea, Kentucky; son Tom Stauffer (Marti) of Olathe, Kansas; grandchildren, Dylan and Ellery Cogdill and Logan and Carson Stauffer. She is also survived by her sisters, LaReta Kallenbach and Kathleen Guthrie, both of Lawrence, Kansas, as well as many extended family members.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Shawnee United Methodist Church, 10700 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shawnee United Methodist Church in Ruthann's name.
