Ryan Freeman Maher passed away on July 22, 2023 at his home in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ryan was born in Detroit, Michigan, but spent the majority of his life living in Richmond, Texas. He attended Foster High School where he lettered in marching band playing the tuba. Upon graduation, he attended Stephen F. Austin University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Political Science in 2018. He then attended Southern Illinois University law school, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2022.
Ryan was ever a giver; of his time, his friendship, his love. He constantly helped his friends and family, never complaining or asking for anything in return. He had an affinity with animals, eagerly caring for animals when he could with his busy schedule. He typically was the largest person in the room, and yet he rarely drew attention to himself. Despite his shyness, he made fast friendships. Lastly, he was an avid Chiefs fan, watching every game and keeping up with all of the Chiefs news. It was rare to see him in any clothing that did not have a Chiefs logo on it.
He is survived by his parents, Kimberly and Kevin Maher, and his siblings Jacob, Zachary, Benjamin, and Sarah. His loss will be felt by many, but his memory will never be forgotten.
We love you, Ryan.
