Sadie Jael Young

d. February 21, 2019

Sadie Jael Young was born Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 7:55pm to parents Mark Young and Whitney (Wilson) Young. Beautiful, perfect; weighing 6lb 14oz and 19 1/2 inches long, she was a petite little princess in comparison to her two older brothers. She had gorgeous blue-grey newborn eyes, soft auburn hair, teeny tiny little ears and a squished button nose. She snuggled close, gazed up at Momma and nursed like a pro. Daddy was instantly smitten with his perfect little girl.

From her creation, Sadie was a precious gift and wonderful surprise from the Lord. Although she was only with us for a few hours, God's faithfulness has been undeniably evident throughout every detail of her birth, life and passing. Sadie Jael, which means "Princess", "one who ascends", and "God is Lord", was the Lord's from day one. She was only ever on loan to us and though our expectations looked different, we are so thankful for the short time we had with our beautiful daughter. God is good and He never changes. He is still good, He is still in control, and He is still victorious. We continue to lean into Him, knowing that we will see our beautiful Sadie Jael again. Until that day, she is snuggled up in Our Father's arms.

An army of incredible people have been by our sides every step of the way.  We have never been more aware of how immensely blessed we are to be surrounded by friends and family who love us, our boys and our sweet Sadie so fiercely and so deeply.  We wish to thank the birth team, first responders, and medical staff for the incredible care they provided to Sadie and our entire family, as well as many others who have extended their generosity, prayers, and kind words to us during this time.

Sadie is survived by her parents; two brothers, Gavin Dean and Miles Edward Young; maternal grandparents, Brenda Womack, Brian and Carla Wilson; paternal grandparents, Roger and Michele Young; great grandparents, Wayne and Mary Womack, Bill Riley, Eddie and Verna Young, Wilma Bledsoe; and many other family and friends.  She is preceded by sibling Bennett Young; and great grandparents Ron Bledsoe and Maydene Riley.

Services celebrating Sadie's life will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019 in the Family Life Center at LifeMission Church, 16111 S. Lone Elm Road, Olathe, KS with burial in Newcomer's Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.  An informal visitation will be at 12:00 PM, followed by a celebration service at 1:00 PM.  In honor of our sweet Sadie, the family has chosen to dress to match her quilt (peach, coral, blush, sage green, and mint), and we welcome others to join us in this if they choose.

Memorial contributions may be made to Joyful Morning KC at joyfulmorningkc.com.
