Saleum R. Namphengsone, age 77, passed away at his home on February 18th, 2022. He was born on November 1st, 1944 to Thith and Kamdy Namphengsone in Salakam, Laos.
Saleum was a family man. He always wanted the best for his family and loved each and every one of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply. It was always the highlight of his day when his grandchildren would go sit on his lap and talk about their day. Saleum is known by family for his dedication to his faith in Buddhism, his love for his culture, and his love of music. Saleum married his wife, Hom, in August of 1980, and they spent many happy years of their lives together.
Saleum served as a Medical Doctor in the Laotian Military, and also served in the United States Military during the Vietnam War. He was a proud veteran and was dedicated to his countries.
Saleum loved to be outside working on his car, watching volleyball and soccer, and taking walks around the neighborhood. He would always take time to stop and watch any animals that passed by him while on his nature walks. Saleum enjoyed watching national geographic and would encourage his grandchildren to watch it with him and learn about the animals and other countries.
Saleum will be remembered most for his distinct chuckle, kind heart and fun loving spirit.
Saleum was preceded in death by his parents Thith Phomma and Khamdy Namphengsone, brother Salong Namphengsone, sister Sompohne Namphengsone, and his daughter Kesone Namphengsone.
Saleum is survived by his Wife, Hom Phimmala. His siblings Kaisy Namphengsone and Term Namphengsone, His children Kevin and Lamse Mounivong, Inpone and Kasey Namphengsone, Christopher and Amy Namphengsone. His grandchildren, Daniel and Chelsea Mounivong, Adam Mounivong, Selena Mounivong, Emilee Namphengsone, Jubae Namphengsone, Kimora Namphengsone, Brett Hamm, Brysyn Namphengsone, and Olivia Namphengsone. Great-grandchildren, Carsen Mounivong, Parker Mounivong, and Emilia Mounivong. He is also survived by multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be on Friday evening from 5 to 7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at 1:30pm, both events will take place at the Amos Family Funeral Home.
