Sarah Elizabeth Vanlerberg-June

Sarah Elizabeth VanLerberg-June, age 44, passed away due to surgery complications in her home on February 9, 2024, in Shawnee, KS. She was born on December 14, 1979, in McPherson, KS.

Sarah worked many years as a dedicated daycare teacher, touching the lives of numerous children she cared for.

Outside of her work, Sarah had a range of interests that brought her joy. She loved cheering for the Chiefs football team, finding solace in cleaning and laundry, indulging in shopping sprees, playing rummy with anyone who would play, and cherishing moments spent with her beloved daughters.

Sarah is preceded in death by her grandparents Paul C. VanLerberg, Janet VanLerberg, Della June, and Carl June, as well as her brothers, Paul "Paulie" June and baby sister Cynthia Rae June. She is survived by her mother, Sharon June, and her father, Raymond June and her brother Rusty June. Sarah leaves behind her cherished daughters, Emma VanLerberg-June and Addison VanLerberg-June. Sarah’s heart was as big as the moon and her personality brought sunshine to anyone she talked to. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Services to honor and celebrate Sarah's life will be held at Amos Funeral Home on February 15, 2024. Visitation will take place from 10 am to 11 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am.
