Savath Srivisay

Savath Srivisay, 68 years old, born in Luang Prabang, Laos passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, peacefully at his home in Merriam, Kansas.

Savath was the 7th sibling out of 10 to Souk and Amphanh (Souksengdao) Srivisay. On May 6, 1984, he married Krissy Saengkham (Sanoubane) Srivisay. Savath is survived by: His wife, Krissy of the home; Children, Susan-Mimi (Srivisay) Thanphirom and husband Jonathan Thanphirom and grandson Evan Thanphirom; Son, Phill Srivisay and fiancé Fallon Gardner. Siblings, Somphong Srivisay, Somphone Srivisay, Saveng Srivisay and Savath Srivisay; and several nieces and nephews.

Savath is preceded in death by: His Father, Souk Srivisay; mother, Amphanh Srivisay, brothers and sisters, Bounchan, Somphone, Soukthaphone, Amphone and Savaiy Srivisay.

Savath grew up in Luang Prabang, Laos and worked at the Ministry of Agriculture in Vientiane, Laos. After a hard life, he sought refuge and escaped Laos in 1989 to pursue a better and prosperous life for him and his family. Throughout his life, he has worked at Bally's Casino Kansas City for over 23 years to support his loving family. Savath was very generous and kind-hearted, and would give and care for anyone in need, no matter if he was in need himself. He was a gentle man and unselfish soul. Family was first and giving was second nature to him.

He enjoyed spending time with family, loved to travel the world and be around his family and friends for all gatherings and celebrations. He was a very intelligent and caring man who loved sharing his knowledge of the world to his children, grandchild and all his nieces and nephews. There was never a day that he was unhappy or mad, always an uplifting smile on his face.
