Scott Charles Grafton, 67, of Roeland Park, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Kansas University Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, with spoken tributes at 7:00 pm. Burial will be 1:00 pm Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, 23215 W. 75th St. Shawnee, KS.
Scott was born on October 26, 1954 in Overland Park, Kansas to John Clarence and Virginia Ann (Ames) Grafton.
Always valuing the right things in life, Scott put family and friends above all. He lived life with the happiness of giving joy to all of us. He loved the outdoors and took full advantage; water sports, snow skiing, and motorcycle trips were his passion. It wasn’t just about the activity for him, as it was just as much about the people he could share the fun with. We’re all better because of Scott and his presence in our lives will be sincerely missed.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents and his great nephew Ryan Niemiec.
Survivors include his daughter, Morgan Grafton; granddaughter, Reid Waller; life partner, Mary Brunner and grandson, Otto Brunner; brother, John Grafton (Glenda); sister, Cynthia O’Connor (Brad); 1 nephew, Chris Grafton and 3 nieces, Jennifer Niemiec, Amber Sims and Michelle Noth, and 8 great nephews and nieces.
