Belton

Scott Frederick Harder, 61, died unexpectedly at his home in Belton, Missouri on February 7, 2024. Scott was born on October 15, 1960 in the Fort Gordon Army Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, to Frederick and Elizabeth Harder. Scott was a home builder in Johnson County, KS for many years. His father preceded him in death.

Scott is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Harder, Raytown, MO; brothers Brad Harder (husband Scott Woodell), Raytown, MO, and Kevin Harder (wife Kristin), Olathe, KS; his daughter Courtney Harder, Shawnee, KS, and her children Ella, Olivia, Vivian and Henry; and his son, Brandon Harder (wife Kayla) and their children Kipton, Adalyn, Kolton, Addisyn and Maverick.

Scott was witty, intelligent, had a zest for life, loved his family, had a big heart, and was always willing to help people. He was a master woodworker. He placed 1st or 2nd in three National Stanley Tools Contest for high school students. He transitioned his woodworking skills into becoming a local home builder, and ultimately a co-developer for residential subdivisions.

He was loved very much and will be solely missed. Rest in peace, Scott.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
