Sharon J. Egan Mcgovern

Sharon J. McGovern, 62, retired physical therapist of Overland Park, Kansas, went to her heavenly home on February 26, 2013, following a brain aneurism and stroke.

Sharon was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated Madonna High School in 1969 and KU in 1973. Sharon's infectious smile, beautiful blue Irish eyes, gentle spirit and compassionate care touched many lives. She loved to laugh, listen, visit, be neighborly and tend her garden.

She is survived by her sister, Sheila K. Egan and beloved friends, neighbors, family and four-footed companions, Rosie and Thunder. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and John Egan and brother, Mike.

Celebrate Sharon's life! Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson, Mission, Kansas.

A service and burial will be in Wichita, Kansas, announced at a later date.
