Sharon L. Walter, 71, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away, Monday, July 2, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Sharon was born May 4, 1941, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to Tom and Mary (Mitten) Keller. She was a talented seamstress, interior designer, and operated Draperies by Sharon in Wabash, Indiana. She later became a registered nurse and worked as a hospice nurse in Georgia.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Walter in 1962. She is survived by three daughters, Terrie Johnson and Scott Matteson, Sandra Bowers and Joseph Deleo, and Laura (Rick) Vachon; grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Sarah (Guy) Virgoni, Alan (Sarah) Johnson, Kayla Booth, Lamar (Brittany) Savage, Samantha (Robert Jack) Savage, Thomas Savage, and Barbra Savage; great grandchildren, Jorri and Carter Booth, Gavin and Lyla Johnson, Aubrey Johnson, Conner, Lucy, and Lyla Savage, Carson Jack, and Jaden Savage.
Sharon's family would like to thank Care Alternatives for the wonderful care and support they gave to Sharon.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
