Shawn Curtis O’Donnell

Shawn Curtis O'Donnell, 59, of Shawnee, KS, passed away, Monday, November 26, 2018 from respiratory failure.

Shawn was born November 16, 1959 in Kansas City, MO. He recently moved back to Shawnee after spending nine years in Laughlin, NV. He was an electrician and member of IBEW Local #124.

He was a fanatic Royals fan and attended fantasy camp where he earned the nickname "Rosie" O'Donnell. He used his proximity in Laughlin to attend spring training games every year in Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, E. J. and Marie (Schwed) O'Malley; his paternal grandparents, Curtis and Evelyn (VanBuren) O'Donnell. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Cathy O'Donnell; two sisters, Tracy (Dan) Ellis and Patti O'Donnell; a brother, Robert O'Donnell, Jr.; nephews, Dr. Ryan Ellis and Tim Ellis; aunts and uncles, Michael O'Malley, Dolores Marra, Joan O'Malley, and Donna O'Malley; great uncle, Lawrence Schwed; numerous cousins and his step children and step grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m, Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
