Shirley Ann Bardwell

Shirley Ann Bardwell, 80, La Cygne, KS passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Olathe Hospice House, Olathe, KS.

Shirley was born July 22, 1935 in Kansas City, KS to Robert and Maudie Gillum. She was a travelling military officer's wife for 22 years and was very social. Shirley was employed with Fuji Film Co. for many years until her retirement. She was a foster grandparent at the La Cygne Elementary School for over 15 years.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Edward Bardwell and Robert Leason Martin, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include her four children, Steve (Mary) Martin, Lenexa, KS, Pamela (Phillip) Johnson, Gravois Mills, MO, Cheryl (Scott) Paine, Denver, CO and Bruce Bardwell, Lenexa, KS; sister, Virginia Spires, Independence, MO; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 28 followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Linn Valley Community Church.
