Shirley Jean Dykstra, 75, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Belton, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 15 at her home in Mountain Home.
Shirley was born September 25, 1937, in Bakersfield, California, to the late Ted and Alfredda Combs Rhoades. On February 22, 1988, she married Edward Dykstra in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She loved her family and enjoyed fishing the lakes and rivers and traveling.
Shirley is survived by her two sons, Jonny Wilson and Chris Wilson; a daughter, Pam Wilson; sister Bertha Whitesell and husband Jim; her mother, Alfredda Rhoade; and two granddaughters, Cierra Drake and Nicole Wilson.
Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral servics will follow at 10 a.m. with burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64105.
