Shirley H. Ingraham

Family and friends will gather at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9100 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66206, on Friday, August 7, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., to celebrate the life of Shirley H. Ingraham, who passed away at age 89 on August 4, 2015. A luncheon at the Church will follow the funeral service. Private burial.

Shirley was born on November 18, 1925, in Seattle, Washington, to Rev. G.A. and Helfred Herbert and graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, WI. Shirley obtained a business degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Shirley will be fondly remembered as the heart and soul of the Ingraham family, devoting her life to the love, well-being and friendship of her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also proudly took care of her mother and sister for many years. Her family, her faith and her Swedish heritage were life's greatest blessings to Shirley. We will miss her great listening skills, reassuring presence, unwavering support and gracious elegance.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Alan G. Ingraham, her parents, her brother, Wayne Herbert, and her sister, Dorothy Herbert. She is survived by her children, Susan Killion (Doug) of Overland Park, KS, Bob Ingraham (Joyce) of Eldridge, IA and Jim Ingraham (Patti) of Lenexa, KS, her grandchildren, Sarah Sweeney (Mike), Jim Ingraham (Lindsey), Christine Reed (Eric), Rick Ingraham (Corinne), Lauren Ingraham (Danny), Amy Addington (Chad), Kathleen Ingraham, Rebecca Ingraham, Kathryn Killion and Hallie Ingraham, her great-grandchildren, Sarah Funck, Trionna Alexander, Jack Reed, Paige Hahn, Noelle Reed, Ethan Hahn, James Ingraham, Daphne Reed, Macy Addington, Kipton Hahn, Sam Ingraham and Mabel Addington.

Funeral services will be at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9100 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66206, on Friday, August 7, 2015, at 10:30 a.m.; private burial.
