Shirley E. Schmiedeler

Shirley E. Schmiedeler, age 71 of Mission, Kansas passed away December. 12, 2008.

She was born October 11, 1937 in Alexandria, Ohio to Paul and Dorothy (St. Clair) Fleming. She graduated from Alexandria High School and was united in marriage to Louis Schmiedeler on November 24, 1956. She was a proud member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and loved to garden and sew.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and by her daughter Luane Schmiedeler. She is survived by her husband Louis of the home, and by her children; Theresa Schiedeler, Mark Schmiedeler, and David Schmiedeler and his wife Sue. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Alex Johnson and Emily Laughlin and by her brothers, Spank and Jim Fleming, and her sister Mary Abbott.

Visitation and Service

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 17 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 11 a.m. at The Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery will follow.
