Staci Denise Howard

Staci Denise (Dodson) Howard was born on February 16, 1982 to Bill and Dee Layne Dodson in Merriam, Kansas. At 39 years old, she passed on at home on Friday, August 20, 2021. A visitation will be held Saturday, August 28, 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Amos Family Funeral Home; funeral services will begin immediately after, followed by a private family graveside.
Staci is survived by her grandmother, Freida Renner; father, Bill Dodson; brothers, Dustin Dodson and Brad (Julie) Dodson; son, Ian Howard; daughter, Daphne Pope; nephews, Jayden Vosseller, Easton Dodson, and Brantley Dodson; uncles, aunts and cousins. Staci was proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents, Earl and Ruth Dodson; maternal grandfather, Gene Renner; mother, Dee Layne Bowman; paternal uncle, Dan Dodson; and maternal uncle, Dennis Renner.

Staci and her brothers grew up in the Greater Kansas City area. She spent her younger years in dance, basketball, and spending time with her friends. After graduating from Shawnee Mission North High in 2000, she went on to complete a college degree from Park University. She then went on to work in various fields including, sales, customer service, administration and hospitality.

Staci wanted the best for everyone and helped other people out when she could. She will be remembered for her love of her family, her beautiful smile, the joy she would bring to others and her enjoyment of sports and staying active.
