Stephen L. Shehan

Stephen L. Shehan, age 56 of Prairie Village, Kansas passed away December 9, 2008.

He was born May 21, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to Allen and Bessie (Eastwood) Shehan. He was united in marriage to Mary Sakaitis. Stephen worked for many years at the VA Medical Center. He was a proud member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and bird watching. But most of all he loved his family. Stephen will always be remembered for his remarkable sense of humor and comforting personality. He was preceded in death by his father and four brothers.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Shehan of the home, by his children; Gregory Shehan and his wife Christie of Olathe, Kansas, Jeffrey Shehan of Kansas City, Kansas, and Angela Shehan of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren; Hailey, Liam, Aiden, and Quinnlan, and by his mother Bessie Shehan of Overland Park, Kansas, and by seven brothers and six sisters, as well as brothers - in-law and sisiters-in-law, and by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral Service

A Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A Rosary will begin at 4:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10:30 AM at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overland Park.
