Stuart William Thomas

December 23, 1951 — November 29, 2015

Stuart William Thomas passed away peacefully in his home Nov. 29th surrounded by family. Stuart was born in Llanelli, Wales to William and Megan. While he moved to Devon, England in his youth, he always connected with Wales as his home and heart. His strong Christian faith led him to Israel to work on a kibbutz, where he met Becky, his soul-mate and love of his life. He left his homeland to start a new life in Kansas City. Their life together was filled with love for family and friends with an open door and a warm embrace. An exceptional father whose love for his children had no limits. To his children, Aimee, Arwen and Jesse, he was father, friend and mentor. Brothers David and Graham survive to keep his spirit alive in his homeland. Always living life to the fullest he loved to grow and try new things. He was a spiritual pilgrim, Celtic historian, gardener, cyclist, dancer, musician, bird feeder, and cat snuggler. To know him was to love him and he will be missed and never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203 on Sunday, Dec. 6th at 2pm. Visitation immediately to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to Harvesters in Stuart’s name.
